Minnie Says actions have consequences and this one's no exception!
Media personality, Minnie Dlamini has refused to accept MacGyver "MacG" Mukwevho's apology for his remarks about her personal life and hygiene. MacG had sparked outrage with his comments, but later apologized on his podcast and extended an invitation to Minnie. However, Minnie stated that the apology, which was sent through attorneys, is insufficient.
In a statement, Minnie emphasized that she was defending the dignity and integrity of a fellow woman in the industry against objectifying remarks. She argued that MacG's apology, coming after public backlash, is not a genuine act of accountability. "This is not about ego - this is about systemic misogyny," she said.
Minnie stressed that the apology centers around the show's reputational damage rather than the trauma inflicted on others. She vowed to continue pursuing legal recourse, citing her responsibility as a public figure, mother, and advocate for women's dignity. "We need systemic change. We need accountability. And we must all decide what kind of public discourse we are willing to defend - or dismantle," Minnie said, emphasizing the harm caused to her and her loved ones.
