MOTHER CITY STILL REIGNS AS THE CLEANEST CITY IN SOUTH AFRICA

                                               
Cape town is also a home to a blend of corporate and independent businesses that lends it a striking aliveness.An eco friendly city with many programmes that educate the public about the importance of a clean environment.Programmes that allow various schools around Cape Town to partake in cleaning the city.Greg Player is one the organisers of the Clean up Cape Town,a programme that has been going on for the past 5years and he keeps emphasising that the objective is to keep the city clean and to educate the society about the importance of a clean environment.
Mother city still reigns as the cleanest city in South Africa.
Fellow South Africans,a clean environment is a human right and has become a prime matter concern in our cities. It is said that clean cities promotes physical and mental health for it’s citizens,not forgetting a major attraction for tourists.This is one of the reasons why Cape Town is known as the major tourist attraction. A city that has won metro category of the Department of Environmental affairs and Tourism’s annual cleanest metro in 2006/2007.A legislative capital of South Africa known for it’s beaches,vineyards and majestic landscapes with limitless oceans.The home of Robben island.
This is a wake up call for other major cities to take initiative.It all begins with us.The bins that are distributed around the cities are not there for decoration but to promote clean cities.
Littering intentionally or unintentionally,large or small can drastically affect the environment for years to come.Before we toss items around,or looking aside when someone does it ,we need to think of the implications.Let us consider the impact of recycling,reusing disposing of waste properly.Together we can do
